About

About the Founder

Dr. D. S. Ramakrishna is a Mechanical Engineer, educator, researcher, and innovation mentor with over three decades of experience in teaching, research, and guiding students and professionals.
He obtained B E in Mechanical Engineering from UVCE, Bengaluru, M E in Design Engineering from Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, Maharashtra, and Ph D from Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, with research focused on Stress Analysis.
He is a :
• Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India)
• Member of ASME (USA)
• Former Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, JNN College of Engineering, Shivamogga
His professional journey includes:
• Teaching and mentoring undergraduate, postgraduate, and research scholars
• Work in stress analysis, experimental mechanics, and machine design
• Execution of funded projects and applied research
• Guiding innovators toward practical, patent-oriented solutions.
He co-invented the "Sugarcane Seed Scooping Machine" which was granted patent and was honored with prestigious "AMULYA" award by Karnataka State Innovation Council. Presently he is volunteering as vice-Chair, ASME Karnataka Section.
Dr. Ramakrishna founded PIHG with a deep conviction that innovation becomes possible for anyone when strong fundamentals, right guidance, and purpose come together.
